"I have been going to a Celebrate Recovery group at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lewisburg, Ohio. It is a faith-based recovery program and it is really good.

"There are eight recovery principles that are based on the Beatitudes and Celebrate Recovery also uses the 12-step program of recovery.

THE FRY TEAM

A group gathers at Ware's Chapel once a year on Saturday.

They have a job to do; there can be no delay.

It's the 2nd Saturday of October; the annual smorgasbord happens then.

Much food needs to be prepared by these dedicated ladies and men.

This group will prepare the chicken. That is their job it would seem.

They will clean, bread, and cook it. They are known as the "Fry Team."

Although they have a serious job to do, they socialize and have some fun.

The fellowship they share with each other is as important as getting the job done.

When you join the "Fry Team," frying chicken is just part of the game,

for this is work for the Lord - that's really why they came.

In our lives we are called in many ways to serve and spread the word.

As a volunteer we get no worldly pay, in heaven we'll get our reward.

Some day, some time, some place, where the light will always beam,

we'll all get another chance to join up there the "Fry Team."

The Lord will be there to say "Thanks for a job well done."

We may even get one more chance to fry the chicken for our father and his son.

So, if you feel a calling to serve your God in some way,

then come and join the "Fry Team" for you'll never forget that day !!
