YF News

 

Our youth are growing up right before our eyes.  Meetings are Sunday mornings over breakfast from 9:30 - 10:15 a.m.  Discussions include missions, service projects, and activities along with studying the Five Practices of Fruitful Youth Ministry.  Several activities are planned for next year.   Their goal is to have a humanitarian project and a group bonding activity each month.  Suggestions are always welcome for ideas from anyone. 

 

The Ware's Chapel Youth Fellowship along with their advisors, guests, and chaperones joined over 6,000 others in Muncie, Indiana at Acquire The Fire on the weekend of March 12 and 13.  Fourteen of our youth and 4 adults testified to being moved by the Holy Spirit as they listened to inspirational speakers and music performers.   

 

The YF enjoyed ice skating at Miami University Goggins Arena on Feb. 28.  

 

The YF will soon start a Big Brother/Big Sister program where each youth member is connected with a younger child that they can bond with and set an example for.  They will be meeting with them monthly for an activity, but will also be available if the child has questions about school or family life or just need to talk.  If your child would like to be involved or you know of one who would, please contact a YF Advisor. 

 

We're hoping that not only will our YF grow in faith this year but also in size.  All youth are welcome to come to the weekly Bible studies.
